Nets play a vital role in the aviation industry. They can be used to protect aircraft crew, secure cargo, and enhance the safety of crew, passengers, and cargo. 

Our aviation nets are made from high-strength materials and are specially designed to withstand the demanding conditions of air travel. We also offer bespoke nets for use in different types of aircraft and airports.

Our aviation netting solutions

We offer a wide range of products for use in aviation, including:

• Protective nets for luggage transport – used under luggage conveyor belts to break falls and protect cargo and luggage in transit.
• Webbing nets and cargo nets for load control – commonly used to limit the movement of cargo, prevent loose baggage items from shifting during flight, and enhance safety. Any movement of the load can alter the aircraft’s centre of gravity, potentially causing control issues. Additionally, properly secured cargo prevents issues like baggage doors opening post-flight.  
• Storage and stowage nets – essential for keeping items organised and secure in transit or storage, preventing movement and damage. These nets are often used in overhead stowage bins to store carry-on items and in aircraft dog boxes, where crew items and flight-critical equipment (such as fire extinguishers and oxygen) are stored.
• Aircraft seat pocket nets and related fittings – used to hold light objects and small items during flights. Our nets can be fitted onto existing frames or supplied mounted on new frames as required. 

All of the above nets can be custom made to exact specifications. 

Legal Requirements and Safety Certifications

Nets are manufactured to conform to flammability regulations, and are supplied with relevant test certificates to meet airline industry standards including:

• F2 12 second vertical burn test: CS 25.853(a) Amdt. 21 App.F Pt.l(a)(1)(ii) & (b)(4)
• F3 15 second horizontal burn test: CS 25.853(a) Amdt. 21 App.F Pt.l(a)(1)(iv) & (b)(5)

Other tests can be carried out as required, depending on the requirements for the project.

We supply bungee cords in a variety of colours to be used around the periphery of the net. We also supply fittings to attach nets onto the back of aircraft seats.
