Suspended Nets for Drones

A net suspended from the bottom of a drone provides a lightweight, flexible method for transporting objects during flight operations.
These types of nets offer adaptable, efficient and safe means of carrying or retrieving cargo
using drones. The range of applications is broad – including remote delivery, field operations,
or rescue missions.

Netting is an ideal solution as:

  • It can adapt around the shape of irregularly shaped or delicate loads, making it more suitable than rigid containers.
  • It is lightweight yet high strength so it can maximise the weight the drone can carry whilst also being durable.
  • It can be easily suspended from the bottom of the drone for ease of use.
  • Netting is available in a range of mesh sizes and materials, including knotless nylon or polypropylene, to suit a variety of applications.

Suspended drone netting can be used in a range of applications including:

  • For military transport where ground access may be challenging.
  • In Search and Rescue to deploy emergency supplies or to collect items from difficult to reach areas.
  • In agricultural settings to transport items between field locations.
  • For wildlife and conservation efforts to safely send or receive items safely retrievenests, samples, or small animals without rigid containers.
  • For delivery to enable package drop offs to locations with challenging terrain or infrastructure.
  • In surveying or sampling to transport tools or samples where terrain is difficult to manage.
